Bring the whole family for Storytime at grō: Family Reading Night—a warm, low-pressure evening that celebrates books and connection. We’ll share engaging read-alouds, movement songs, and easy activities that support vocabulary, comprehension, and a love of reading. Families will also receive practical take-home ideas for building reading routines at home.

We’ll provide child watch & snacks

 

Breathe It Out: The Art of Working Through Tantrums is a practical, judgment-free workshop that helps parents understand what’s happening in a child’s brain during big emotions—and what to do in the moment. You’ll learn calming strategies, simple scripts, and step-by-step tools to support your child through tantrums while building connection, confidence, and self-regulation.

You’ll learn how to create routines that fit your family, use visual schedules and consistent cues, handle transitions, and troubleshoot common challenges like mornings, bedtime, and “no school day” disruptions—so kids know what to expect and caregivers feel more confident.

You’ll learn prevention strategies, simple phrases to use, how to teach “safe mouth” alternatives, and how to support big feelings so biting decreases over time.

Ms. Hannah Youle

Ms. Hannah brings 8 years of child care experience and a calm, supportive approach to helping children (and parents) work through big feelings. She loves building strong relationships with children and families and focuses on creating a safe, nurturing environment where kids can learn, grow, and explore. As a proud mom, she understands how important practical tools and encouragement are for families—especially during tough moments like tantrums and bedtime transitions. Ms. Hannah is excited to share strategies that help families feel confident and supported every step of the way.

Oneisha Jones

Ms. Oneisha Jones

Ms. Oneisha has 5 years of early childhood education experience and has earned her CDA credential. She is passionate about helping little ones learn to navigate their world and supporting families as children grow and reach new milestones. Ms. Oneisha values building strong connections with children and families and believes in guiding children with patience, curiosity, and encouragement. She looks forward to sharing practical, family-friendly strategies to help with tantrums, emotional regulation, and creating routines that support healthy sleep habits.

Dearis Jones

Mr. Dearis Jones

Mr. Dearis has nearly 7 years of experience in early childhood education and holds a CDA, along with two accreditations in child psychology. His work includes parent coaching and education consulting, supporting both families and educators. In How to Create Routines 4 Kids, Mr. Dearis will share practical, realistic strategies to help families build routines that actually stick—morning, after-school, and bedtime routines included. He focuses on creating structure in a way that feels supportive (not stressful), helping children feel secure, confident, and ready to thrive at home and in school.

Ms. Karen (Director)

Ms. Karen is the Director at grō Childcare Academy and brings 20+ years of experience in education, including teaching in five countries and leading as a Director for five years. She is a Reggio-inspired educator who believes every child has something unique to share and is passionate about helping children—and families—grow through every stage of development. In “Teeth to Talk: Helping Toddlers Stop Biting,” Ms. Karen will share practical, supportive strategies to understand why biting happens, how to respond in the moment, and how to teach toddlers safer ways to communicate big feelings.
